Families Gather For Picnic, Play In Alameda: Photos Of The Day

ALAMEDA, CA — These photos by Karl Robrock show a wonderful gathering in an Alameda neighborhood. It would be easy to guess that this get-together took weeks or months to plan. Not so, according to Karl, who told Patch that it only takes a few text messages to get this turnout.

"As parents of young kids, we’ve found weeknight street gatherings / ‘driveway socials’ with other parents in the same predicament to be the easiest form of social gathering," said Karl.
