Firefighters Quickly Contain Commercial Structure Fire in Alameda
Crews extinguished Wednesday's blaze in under 30 minutes.
ALAMEDA, CA — The Alameda Fire Department put out a commercial building fire in under 30 minutes Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported at 10:37 a.m. near Pan Am Way and Corpus Christi Road. The initial dispatch included three engines, two trucks, one medic unit, and a chief officer.
Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke billowing from the second story of the large building.

A working fire was declared, prompting an additional medic unit to be sent to the scene.
Firefighters swiftly entered the building, searching for victims and identifying the fire's origin in a second-floor room.

The blaze, which had spread into the center hallway, was brought under control within 25 minutes.
A total of 24 Alameda firefighters responded.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Oakland Fire Department assisted with coverage, while Alameda Police, Alameda Municipal Power, and PG&E supported the on-site response.
