Helicopters Over the Estuary Today? It's Only a Drill

An Alameda Fire Department rescue boat is participating, along with units from other agencies.

The Alameda Fire Department and other emergency agencies are conducting a water rescue drill in the Alameda-Oakland Estuary today (Wednesday), AFD Deputy Fire Chief Matt Tunney said in an announcement this afternoon.

Tunney said an Alameda Fire rescue boat will participate, along with units from the Oakland fire Department and other agencies.

Helicopters may also be involved in the drill, Tunney said.
