Murder Suspect Targeted Sex Offenders In Slaying Of Bay Area Man: Police
Varun Suresh is accused of fatally stabbing an elderly man in Fremont on Thursday, Sept. 18.

FREMONT, CA — A Fremont man who police say targeted sex offenders has been charged with murder in connection with the killing of a man in the Bay Area earlier this month.
Varun Suresh, 29, is accused of fatally stabbing an elderly man in the 600 block of Upper Vinters Circle in Fremont the morning of Sept. 18, according to police, who described the incident as a "violent struggle."
Suresh sought out registered sex offenders as victims, according to the Fremont Police Department. He chose the victim in this case due to his age and previous convictions, according to authorities.
