New Restaurant Opens At Oakland Airport

OAKLAND, CA — If you need a bite to eat the next time you're at San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport you have a new eatery choice — one that's serving up fresh local flavors.

New restaurant A16 opened in mid-July.

At A16, travelers will find a straightforward, delicious Italian menu for the whole family, expertly crafted coffees, and a comfortable atmosphere. Menu options include freshly prepared pizzas, paninis, salads, and egg breakfast sandwiches made with local ingredients. A wide coffee and espresso selection from local favorite Equator Coffee Roasters and refreshing local draft beers and wines are also available.

With ingredients sourced in Northern California, A16’s menu supports the local Bay Area community while also ensuring that there is something for omnivores, vegetarians, and coffee-aficionados alike.

Onsite prepared grab-and-go paninis, salads, and healthy snacks are also available for travelers with no time to spare.

“We are thrilled to unveil this twelfth addition to OAK’s new Food and Beverage Program with the opening of A16 in Terminal 1,” says Craig Simon, Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland. “Bringing the fantastic local flavors of the San Francisco Bay Area to our airport has been a priority for us throughout this process, and A16 is a perfect new addition to this lineup.”

A16 is open from 4:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. A16 adjacent to the Escape Lounge and Gate 8A. It is operated by OAK concessionaire High Flying Foods.
