If you're not taking the bike tour of Alameda Point on Saturday, in the company of city council and planning board members, try a virtual tour instead.
An informational "pre-packet" on the City of Alameda website is designed as an advance look for those taking the tour, but it also functions well as a cheat sheet for Saturday stay-at-homes who would like a quick update on planning issues at the former Naval Air Station Alameda.
The packet, available for download as a .pdf file, highlights the tour's eight major stops, complete with photos, maps and a quick summary of planning considerations for each of those areas.
