Organic-Focused Grocery Store Sets Opening Date For New East Bay Location
The new store is also expected to bring dozens of jobs to the East Bay city, according to officials from the grocery chain.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — A new organic-focused grocery store is set to open in Alameda County later this fall, bringing in dozens of job opportunities to the area.
City officials announced back in August that Sprouts Farmers Market was opening its new location at the Centro Callan Building in San Leandro as part of a "mixed-use" development project that would transform CVS/Long Drugs.
The New Sprouts Farmers Market location is now set to open on Nov. 14, officials with the grocery chain said in a press release. There will be a grand opening celebration that will be announced in the coming months, they added.

The new store location is expected to bring nearly 100 full- and part-time jobs to the East Bay, from department managers to cashiers and sales ambassadors, according to the press release.
An in-person hiring event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Silicon Valley N in Union City, officials said.

"Sprouts’ healthy approach to grocery shopping means potential team members should share a passion for healthy eating and the fresh, natural and organic products available throughout the store," store officials said in the press release.
