Overnight Closures To Impact Alameda Traffic
An Alameda thoroughfare will be closed overnight for maintenance work. Drivers should expect detours.
ALAMEDA, CA — The Webster Tube (State Route 61) will be closed overnight for three consecutive nights for tunnel washing and maintenance, the California Department of Transportation announced Monday.
Webster Tube will be closed overnight on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The tube will remain open during the daytime, CalTrans officials said.
"Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist drivers," officials stated.

California Highway Patrol officers will also be onsite to support traffic management.
The work is weather-dependent, officials said.
