Hot days in the East Bay call for finding some shade and checking out local shops.

ALAMEDA, CA — With East Bay temperatures in the 70s and 80s, it's understandable to be in search of shade and places to keep cool. A stroll up and down Alameda's Park Street and into its many locally owned shops is one way to stay out of the direct sun, at least temporarily.
