Posey Tube Closure Scheduled
Caltrans will perform an overnight closure of the Posey Tube for painting work.
ALAMEDA, CA — The Posey Tube (State Route 61) will be closed overnight on Friday, the City of Alameda announced Tuesday.
Friday night through Saturday morning, from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., the Posey Tube will be closed for painting work, officials said. Drivers should use alternate routes and allow for extra travel time during the closure period.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will post updates on the latest highway conditions, and drivers are encouraged to check out Caltrans’ Quickmap.
