Pumpkins Galore: Photo Of The Day

ALAMEDA, CA — It's a hot week temperature-wise throughout the Bay Area, but photographer Virginia Thompson's fall-themed image of pumpkins and gourds reminds us that autumn, October and cooler weather are just around the corner.

Thompson, an Alameda resident, took the photo at Dan's Farmers Market over the weekend. The market, located at 2300 Central Ave., has been family-owned and -operated since 1976.
