ALAMEDA, CA — Winter-like weather is moving through Alameda this week. Alameda Municipal Power, AMP, has tips for small businesses to prepare for the storm expected to hit on Thursday.
Winter Storm Prep Tips for Businesses
- Test backup power equipment. If you have a generator, test it and make sure it has sufficient fuel for your business' needs.
- Make sure sensitive technical systems are protected from power surges or outages.
- Be sure to have flashlights on hand.
- Train employees on what to do and how to stay safe if the power goes out.
