Suspect In East Bay Shooting Arrested After Years On The Run: Police

Police have arrested the man suspected of a shooting that injured a man and damaged several vehicles and a home.

Police have arrested a 28-year-old former Newark resident in connection with a 2021 shooting that injured a man and damaged several vehicles and a home, authorities said.

Terry Franklin was taken into custody Sept. 3 after Newark detectives received him from another Bay Area agency that arrested him in an unrelated case last month, according to the police.

Franklin had been wanted since May 25, 2021, when he allegedly exchanged gunfire with another man on the 37000 block of Saint Matthew Drive, police said.
