'Unbeatable Prices': Alameda Nonprofit Hosts Used Book Sale

ALAMEDA, CA — A nonprofit in Alameda is selling thousands of used books at low prices through Saturday afternoon.
Friends of the Alameda Free Library are hosting a Used Book Sale this week at the city's library on 1550 Oak St.
Nonprofit officials say they have more than 10,000 books for sale at "unbeatable prices." There are also CDs and DVDs for sale. The event on Friday and Saturday will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It is free to enter and a "great chance to stock up on books for all ages and interests," according to the nonprofit.
The nonprofit was started in 1974, offering support to the Alameda Main Library and other programs through volunteer work and fundraising, according to its website.
