Coffee enthusiasts have a number of options when it comes to local spots that offer a variety of roasts and specialty drinks.
ALAMEDA, CA — There are easily hundreds of coffee shops in the East Bay alone, with Alameda home to many of them. While a visit to a cafe for a cappuccino, a latte, a double or triple shot of espresso or just a good ol' cup of coffee is justifiable in any season or month, it’s all-the-more-enticing as fall gets underway and October nears.
Here’s a list of coffee shops in Alameda:
Bad Barista
Details: With a bold name and entertaining menu categories for their drinks (“basic,” “above basic,” “beyond basic,” “other stuff,” “blended stuff” and “extra stuff”), this cafe is worth checking out. This month’s specialty drink offering is a coconut leche flan with espresso, available until Sept. 28. Also on the menu are a pumpkin pie spice latte, a golden espresso pumpkin latte and a “hobgoblin pumpkin cold brew.”

Beanery of Alameda
Details: Located in the Alameda Marketplace, this cafe has hot and iced coffee and espresso drink offerings, including several mochas.

Blue Dot Cafe & Coffee Bar
