Early Voting Begins For Altadena Town Council

Residents elected to the council will serve in an advisory capacity to various Los Angeles County departments.

ALTADENA, CA — Residents began casting their ballots for Altadena Town Council as early voting was underway Tuesday.

Councilmembers serve a two-year term on the council, which acts as an advisory committee to various Los Angeles County Departments, officials said. There are 16 seats on the organization, two for each Altadena census tract.

Those who missed out on early voting will have to wait until Saturday to cast their ballots. The Altadena Main Library, Bob Luas Branch Library and the Patticakes bakery on Allen Avenue will act as polling stations and be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Eight seats are up for grabs this year. However, one seat does not have a candidate, while three only have the current council members running for reelection. Three seats have two candidates vying for the position, while one seat has three candidates in the race.
