• Search Underway for Levi and Chase Parker, Ages 7 and 9, Missing After Bike Ride in Apple Valley (vvng.com) — Authorities are urgently searching in Apple Valley for brothers Levi, 7, and Chase Parker, 9, who disappeared Sunday afternoon after riding their bikes near Yucca Loma Road and Joshua Road. Deputies have released detailed descriptions of the boys and their bicycles and are asking anyone who may have seen them to immediately contact the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station or Sheriff’s Dispatch. 
• Person Found Dead Following Structure Fire in Lucerne Valley; Bomb Squad Requested (vvng.com) — Apple Valley residents should know that local firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District assisted County Fire at a deadly house fire in nearby Lucerne Valley Monday evening. One adult was found dead after crews, delayed by bomb-squad safety concerns, finally entered the burned home. Investigators are still working to determine the cause, and the victim’s identity has not yet been released.
