Yes, it’s that time again—time to get creative and bust out some Halloween costumes for you and the family. In honor of , why not dress up as a jockey? Throw on a pair of stretch pants, riding boots and a blazer. An argyle vest and long sleeved shirt will also do. While you may remember him from Marvel Comics or even the beloved ‘80s movie Adventures in Babysitting, your kids will also recognize Thor from the big screen—or perhaps Burger King Happy Meals. Finding a Vikings hat, silver hammer, body armor and faux muscles may be difficult, so you can buy the costume online at this Burbank-based store. 3. Freeway Fighters

Spoof Caltrans in light of the construction. It’s best to team up with others for this creative costume. You'll need cardboard to create the houses and orange vests for the Caltrans workers.

4. Picnic Table

This is a fun and easy costume for the kids. Pick up a tablecloth and two pieces of poster board from ; drape the tablecloth over your child and cut a hole for the head. Then, glue the poster board to the inside (one in front and one in back). The last step is the most fun. Let the kids adorn the "table" with their favorite snacks. From juice boxes to bags of chips (empty is probably best) to gummy bears, the possibilities are endless. Warning: This costume makes it extremely hard to sit. Come up with a plan before sending your kid to school.

Reality television fan? Emulate your favorite bachelor or bachelorette by slipping into your best suit or gown and grabbing a bouquet of roses from  or . On Halloween, flatter your friends by passing each a rose.
