At the June 15, 2021, City Council meeting, the City Council created an annual citywide Community Clean-up Day event to take place on the first Saturday in November. The event will be dedicated annually to a person in the community who has devoted their time and service to the City. The Arcadia Beautiful Commission will host the inaugural Community Clean-Up Day from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wilderness Park (2240 Highland Oaks Drive) on Saturday, November 6, 2021.  This year’s Community Clean-Up Day will be dedicated to Jim Barrows, who was an active volunteer in the City of Arcadia for many years. Volunteers interested in serving in this event will assist in removing trash and debris, making paths more walkable, taming brush, and cleaning up tables and benches. All tools and supplies needed for clean-up will be provided. To register for the event, please visit Eventbrite/Clean-Up.  For more information, please contact Carmen Masud, Senior Management Analyst, at cmasud@ArcadiaCA.gov.
