Nov. 13

At 4 p.m., Engine 105 and Truck 105 responded to the 2300 block of South Third Avenue on a flood report. A homeowner attempted to install a dishwasher when a water valve broke, flooding the home. Fire crews shut off water to the home and used a water vacuum to help with the clean up. The homeowner was advised to contact a plumber for repairs.

Nov. 15

At 6:32 p.m., Engine 106 responded to a hazardous condition in the 700 block of West Longden Avenue. Fire crews arrived on scene and found a wire down in the street. Engine 106 personnel determined that a phone line had become detached from a nearby residence. Fire crews secured the downed wire.

At 1:15 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to medical assist in the 100 block of West Santa Clara Avenue. Fire crews arrived on scene to discover a man who had fainted after rigorous exercise. Paramedics performed advanced life support measures, including cardiac and glucose monitoring, and then transported the patient to .

Nov. 19

At 8:55 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a reported traffic collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle in the 2100 block of Holly Avenue. Fire crews arrived on scene and found a woman in the street with a possible broken leg and arm. Paramedics assessed the patient and splinted her arm and leg before transporting her to the nearest trauma center.
