• Band Submissions Now Open for Atascadero's 2026 Summer Concert Series (keyt.com) — Atascadero bands and performers can now apply for the city’s 2026 “Saturday in the Park” Summer Concert Series at the Atascadero Lake Bandstand, with seven free shows planned from June 20 to August 15. Local groups selected will receive a $500 stipend and sound support, and applications are due by Friday, January 30, 2026, at 5 p.m. via email, mail, or drop-off on Traffic Way.

See the detailed SLO County data (sanluisobispo.com) — Atascadero voters narrowly leaned “no” on statewide redistricting Proposition 50, even as San Luis Obispo County as a whole approved it by nearly 10 points. New precinct-level data show Atascadero aligning with other inland and rural areas in opposing the measure, while coastal and college-area communities strongly backed it, revealing a clear geographic split in local political attitudes.
   

• ABI Engineering Named Business of the Year (atascaderonews.com) — North County readers will see a familiar spirit of neighborliness in ABI Engineering’s recognition as Business of the Year for helping dismantle the fire-damaged Templeton Feed & Grain. Owner Andy Brown, who has Atascadero school ties, coordinated a complex, community-backed effort with local contractors, businesses, and the City of Paso Robles to safely bring down the damaged silos and structures.
