Local Paper Highlights Unsolved Homicides In Baldwin Park
The Pasadena Star News showed archive photos with names and details of cold cases.
At least five homicide cases in Baldwin Park that have yet to be solved by police investigators are being presented by a local newspaper, in a gallery created with archive photos collected by the news outlet.
The Pasadena Star News showed more than 50 archive photos of homicide victims, and several stories by reporters of the paper, as part of a joint effort with support organizations for victims of crime.
"In partnership with Justice for Homicide Victims and Justice for Murdered Children, this newspaper created this page designed to highlight unsolved homicide cases in Los Angeles County," says the site home page.

Homicide cases -with some known details- in Baldwin Park include Florine Anderson, Robert Gaudette, Richard Allshop, James Gilmore and Andy Roy Castro.
According to information from the Star News, Gaudette, Anderson and Allshop were murdered during a robbery at the Edgewood Drive Inn of Baldwin Park, in 1975.

Another relevant case is that of James Gilmore, who was murdered and then found buried in his own yard in Baldwin Park, in 1985, after several years.
Roy Castro, who was shot to death in October of 1999, completes the list of Baldwin Park cases.
To date, the website shows almost 50 cases with photos of several victims and suspects. However, Frank Girardot, editor of the publishing newspaper, said that more would be added once the archives are revised.
"We can only hope that something will spur a response in these cases," said Girardot.
