1 Dead In Highway 79 Crash Near Beaumont
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the vehicle rolled over and the sole occupant was ejected and died at the scene.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol was continuing to investigate a traffic fatality that occurred early Wednesday morning on Highway 79, just south of Beaumont.
The solo-vehicle crash was reported at 2:26 a.m. near the Lamb Canyon Landfill.
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the vehicle rolled over and the sole occupant was ejected and died at the scene.

It wasn't immediately clear whether the victim, whose identity was not released pending notification of next of kin, was wearing a safety belt.
The crash cause will be determined by the CHP.
