Beaumont Fire Temporarily Closes Major Roadway
The brush fire broke out Tuesday afternoon.
BEAUMONT, CA — A fire broke out in Beaumont Tuesday afternoon, scorching about a quarter acre of brush, officials said.
The fire was first reported at 3:56 p.m. in a field alongside Pennsylvania, between 1st and 3rd streets, according to fire reports.
Firefighters quickly got the upper hand on the blaze.

The fire was out as of 4:30 p.m., but crews were still mopping up hot spots for another half hour or so.
Amid ongoing fire activity, Pennsylvania was closed in between 1st and 3rd streets. It was back open by 5:15 p.m.

Crews at the scene told Patch the cause of the fire was under investigation.
