Beaumont Man Accused Of Murder Must Stand Trial In Banning Death
Officials said the woman's body was found inside a Banning residence.

BANNING, CA — A 20-year-old Beaumont man accused of killing a Banning woman must stand trial on murder and child endangerment charges, a judge ruled Friday.
Devonta Eugene Leonard is accused in the Feb. 20 slaying of Evangelina Ysiano, 21, whose body was found just before 10 a.m. at her residence in the 500 block of North Hathaway Street. Officers went to the scene after receiving "several reports of a possible dead body at the location."
Leonard's relationship, if any, to Ysiano was not disclosed by police, who also did not specify the cause of death. However, the criminal complaint filed against Leonard includes a gun use enhancement.
