At Least 2 People Shot Near University Of Redlands

REDLANDS, CA — At least two people were shot Thursday afternoon in a neighborhood north of the University of Redlands.

Redlands police officers responded after shots were heard one block north of the campus's Ted Runner Stadium, according to messages sent out on social media around 4 p.m. by the university and the Redlands Police Department.

"At least two known victims have been transported to the hospital. No suspects in custody. Please avoid the area until further notice," Redlands police tweeted.

A shelter-in-place was issued at the University of Redlands but no active shooter or armed person was on campus, according to university officials.

An all-clear for the campus was issued shortly after the incident began.
