Motorcyclist Killed, 2 Hurt In Desert Hot Springs Crash
A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon and two people were hospitalized after a crash near State Route 62, authorities said.
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — A motorcyclist was killed and two other people were injured Saturday in a crash involving an SUV in Desert Hot Springs.
The crash was reported at 12:19 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 62 and Pierson Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were hospitalized, one with serious injuries, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The CHP said the SUV was traveling westbound on Pierson Boulevard when it struck the motorcycle, which ended up beneath the SUV.
All eastbound lanes on State Route 62 were shut down at the crash site while authorities conduct a death investigation, according to Caltrans.
