Pedestrian Who Died After Falling Onto I-215 ID'd As Cherry Valley Man

MORENO VALLEY, CA — The Riverside County coroner's office Saturday identified the 45-year-old man who died after he apparently jumped or fell from an overcrossing and was hit by a vehicle on the 215 Freeway in the Moreno Valley area.

The fatal injury was reported at about 7:25 a.m. Friday near state Route 60, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Jose Garcia of Cherry Valley was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner's office said.

The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
