Man Found Dead in Downtown Long Beach
Homicide investigation begins for body found near West Shoreline Drive and Pine Avenue.

The death of a man whose body was found in Long Beach was being investigated Wednesday as a homicide, authorities said.
The body was discovered about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday near West Shoreline Drive and Pine Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“The victim sustained an injury to his torso,” a police statement said. “The ... coroner’s office will determine the cause of death.”

The man’s name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives. No arrests have been reported.
