Police Make Arrest in Indecent Exposure Spree
Over four-month span, Long Beach man would stand in front of apartment windows and masturbate, then escape through surrounding alleys.

Police today said they have arrested a 24-year-old man suspected of exposing himself in front of windows at an apartment building in Long Beach, masturbating and then fleeing into surrounding alleys.
From May through September 2015, police received several calls from residents in the area of Cherry Avenue and Third Street regarding a man breaking the entry gate lock at an apartment complex, entering the courtyard and exposing himself, according to a statement from the Long Beach Police Department.
“During the night, the suspect would stand in front of the victims’ windows as he masturbated, then fled utilizing surrounding alleys to escape,” the statement read.

Police increased area patrols and on Sept. 24, officers located a person lurking in an alley and forwarded the information to detectives, who were able to identify Ryan McClain as the suspect. McClain is from Long Beach.
Detectives presented their case to the city prosecutor’s office, which filed the case and issued a warrant for McClain’s arrest. He was taken into custody on Friday in the area of Broadway and Cherry Avenue.

McClain is currently being held at the Los Angeles County Jail on $75,000 bail, pending arraignment.
