3 Arrested In Connection With Teen's Death: Solano Deputies

On Tuesday, Solano County deputies said they discovered the body of 19-year-old Danny Trask of Oakland in a ditch.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Three people are in jail and charged in connection with the killing of a young man in rural Dixon, according to the Solano County Sheriff's Office.

On Tuesday, deputies said they discovered the body of 19-year-old Danny Trask of Oakland in a ditch.

"The circumstances in which the victim was found indicated that there was foul play involved," the sheriff's office said in a news release.

The sheriff's office has not revealed the manner in which Trask died. During the investigation, deputies said they were able to identify a potential suspect, Mynard Simpson.

According to the sheriff's office, Simpson was later located driving north of Sacramento. Placer County Sheriff’s Office and CHP-Auburn were able to locate and stop the vehicle and detain the people inside.

Deputies said each person was interviewed and search warrants were served for both the vehicle and Simpson's home.

Based on the information learned by detectives, they charged Simpson with murder. Nicole Samosa and Amani Jones have been charged with accessory to murder.

The Solano County Sheriff's Office believes Trask's killing was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to local residents.

"Our deepest condolences go out to the victim’s family and friends. We thank the hard work and dedication of our investigative teams who worked tirelessly to make an arrest within hours of the discovery of the body. We also thank our public safety partners for their assistance with this case," the sheriff's office said.

Details as to a possible motive for the killing were not immediately known.
