52-Acre Cherry Fire Near Vacaville Fully Contained: Cal Fire

The Cherry Fire started at about 1:15 p.m. Monday off Cherry Glen Extension Road north of Interstate Highway 80.

VACAVILLE, CA — A grass fire that started Monday near Vacaville was fully contained at 52 acres by Tuesday morning, Cal Fire officials said.

The Cherry Fire started at about 1:15 p.m. Monday off Cherry Glen Extension Road north of Interstate Highway 80.

Around 7 a.m. Tuesday, Cal Fire officials confirmed on social media that the fire was extinguished.

Although it has been contained, crews will be checking the site for the next several days, according to Cal Fire.

No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. There were also no findings of structural damage.
