Arrest Made In Benicia Shooting
A San Pablo man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in the shooting that left two people injured, Benicia police say.
BENICIA, CA — A San Pablo man was arrested after a shooting in Benicia that left two people with injuries on Tuesday night, Benicia police said. The shooting was first reported at 10:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of Bayview Circle. A man and a woman, both 25, were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds not thought to be life-threatening and are expected to recover, according to police.
Officers located the suspect on Thursday night in the 1300 block of Road 20 in San Pablo, according to police. Ernesto Ramon Alejandre, 21, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, robbery and burglary and
booked into Contra Costa County Jail.
He was allegedly in possession of a loaded .45-caliber handgun when he was arrested. Police said they also discovered dozens of marijuana plants growing inside his home.
