Benicia Declares Local Emergency, Opens Operations Center
BREAKING: Residents are asked to remain indoors and avoid all flooded areas.

BENICIA, CA -- Residents are asked to remain indoors and avoid all flooded areas by city officials who this week declared a local emergency and activated Benicia's Emergency Operations Center in response to the ongoing storms.
The city has experienced extreme flooding, fallen trees, residential and commercial building damage, as well as numerous street closures, officials said.
On Jan. 10, rain and runoff into Lake Herman caused the lake to overflow, resulting in flooding in the Industrial Park area of Channel Road and Park Road.
