Benicia Police Log: Kids in a Hot Tub and an Idling Car
The following information was supplied by the Benicia Police Department, and unless otherwise noted, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

This is the crime bulletin for Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from the Benicia Police Department.Â
12:33 a.m.: Police were dispatched to East N Street where a couple was fighting. Officers convinced the couple to separate for the rest of the evening.
6:46 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Park Road business.

7:00 p.m.: Officers went to an East Fifth Street home where a citizen wished to speak to them about a civil matter.
8:09 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Rankin Street home.

9:25 p.m.: Police were dispatched to East O Street after receiving reports of a drunk driver in the area. They found the car but not the supposed drunk driver.
9:47 p.m.: Police were dispatched to the end of First Street where a car was reportedly doing doughnuts on the spit. The driver of the vehicle was given a warning.
10:09 p.m.: Officers spoke to a group of kids who were in a Buchanan Street hot tub after hours. The kids were unaware of the time limits on the hot tub and left after speaking to the officers.
10:42 p.m.: A woman on El Bonito reported a car parked in front of her home with the engine running. Investigating officers found the car was parked legally but couldn’t find the driver.
Editor’s Note: Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
