Coast Guard Rescues Boaters Stranded In Suisun Bay
Their vessel had run into a shallow channel and was taking on water, Coast Guard officials said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — The U.S. Coast Guard rescued two boaters who ran a 21-foot boat aground in Suisun Bay in Solano County on Saturday. Coast Guard officials said a report came in around 4 p.m. that the vessel had run into a shallow channel and was taking on water.
When rescue crews arrived on scene, it was determined that a 45-foot Coast Guard boat wouldn't be able to enter the shallow water the boat was stuck in. A helicopter was dispatched with a rescue swimmer to hoist the men to safety.
The men were taken to Buchanan Field Airport in Concord and didn't report any injuries.
