Coroner IDs Pedestrian Fatally Struck In Vallejo
One person was killed and another injured in the incident late Friday night on Sonoma Boulevard.

VALLEJO, CA — The Solano County coroner's office has identified a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle Friday as 37-year-old Larry Jones II. A Vallejo police sergeant on patrol saw a man down on Sonoma Boulevard south of Lewis Brown Road around 11:50 p.m. Friday. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
A 30-year-old Vallejo man who also was struck by a vehicle in the same collision was injured and taken to a hospital, police Lt. Michael Nichelini said.
The pedestrians were walking east across Sonoma Boulevard outside a crosswalk and well south of a controlled intersection when a 2008 Ford Focus struck them, Nichelini said.

Police located the driver, a 47-year-old Vallejo man, near the scene, according to Nichelini.
Impairment and speed do not appear to be factors in the collision, he said.
