GoFundMe Launched After Teen's Body Found In Ditch In Solano Co.

The teen's family said they launched the GoFundMe account to help pay for his funeral expenses.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — The family of a teen whose body was recently found in a ditch after Solano County deputies said he was killed has launched a GoFundMe account to help pay for funeral expenses.

According to the Solano County Sheriff's Office, three people have been arrested in connection with the killing of 19-year-old Danny Trask.

Trask's family said he was on his way to see his big sister when he was shot and killed by occupants of the car he was in. His body was left in a ditch on the side of the freeway near Dixon, CA.

"My little brother was only 19 years old and had his entire life ahead of him and was full of life and love," said John Cannon, Trask's older brother. "Any donations you can provide would be greatly appreciated as we process our grief and try to pick up the pieces of our lives. Thank you for your consideration in such a hard time, and may God bless all of you."

As of Monday evening, the GoFundMe page has raised more than $5,500. The family hopes to raise at least $10,000.

Mynard Simpson has been charged with murder. Nicole Samosa and Amani Jones have been charged with accessory to murder.

The sheriff's office did not reveal a possible motive for Trask's killing or his association with the three people charged in connection with his death.
