Linda Mullaney

Is the nominee considered an "essential worker"?:

No

What does the nominee do for work?:

She makes masks all day long for anyone who might need them. She's a quilter and is using up any and all scraps of fabric she can get her hands on. When someone requests a mask, if she knows something about the requester she tries to personalize his or her mask. For example, I got one with cats on it and my husband got one with wine bottles.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?

While not an "essential worker" per se, her dedication to making masks all day long and scouring the internet when she needs supplies has made it possible for countless essential workers to continue to work and for her friends, family and acquaintances to safely be out in the world when necessary.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:

She is a very giving and good-hearted person who saw a niche that she could fill long before others started making masks.

Thank you for all you do, Linda!
