Motorcyclist Killed in Thursday Crash was Benicia Man
The California Highway Patrol identified the man who was involved in an accident on the freeway yesterday.

The Solano County coroner's office has identified the motorcyclist
who died after he collided with a van Thursday afternoon as 44-year-old Steven Kent.     Â
California Highway Patrol Officer John Fransen said Kent was a
Benicia resident.     Â

Kent's Harley Davidson collided with the rear of a Honda Odyssey
minivan on the northbound Interstate Highway 680 connector to westbound Interstate Highway 780 around 3:40 p.m., Fransen said.     Â
Kent was taken to Sutter Solano Hospital in Vallejo where he was
pronounced dead at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, Fransen said.    Â

The 32-year-old San Jose man who was driving the van and his three
passengers were not injured, Fransen said.     Â
It's unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash,
Fransen said.     Â
Witnesses are asked to call the CHP at (925) 646-4980.
