New Stop Sign Coming to Military East, Adams and Grant

Benicia officials will install the stop sign on an interim basis.

Benicia drivers will have a new stop sign to heed, starting next week.

Benicia city officials will install an all-way stop sign at the intersection of Military East, Adams and Grant streets.

"The all-way stop is being installed, on an interim basis, to enhance safety for pedestrians and the traveling public until the traffic engineering evaluation currently underway has been completed," the city said in a press release.

It will be discussed at an April 18 meeting of the Traffic Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Commitee. That meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
