• 20-year-old Richmond man arrested for kidnapping, sexually assaulting Porterville girl (contracostaherald.com) — Benicia is indirectly tied to a serious human trafficking investigation after a Richmond man, previously arrested in Solano County on a Benicia felony case, was taken into custody again for allegedly kidnapping and sexually exploiting a Porterville girl. Benicia Police also assisted in the multi-agency operation that led to his December 31 arrest, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
