Rescue Crews Airlift Injured Hiker In Solano County

The injured hiker was airlifted to a hospital, Cal Fire said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — An injured hiker was rescued and airlifted to a hospital in Solano County near Winters on Saturday, Cal Fire said.

Crews responded at about 2 p.m. to a call for a medical rescue near the Blue Ridge Hiking Trail, where two hikers were initially reported in distress, Cal Fire said.

Solano County first responders and the Napa County Fire Department assisted and then Cal Fire's
Fire Hawk Boggs Copter 612 helicopter swooped in and assisted, Cal Fire said.

The Boggs Copter 612 lowered a rescuer down to the scene and hoisted a single patient so they could be taken to a landing zone to be transferred to an air ambulance and then the hospital.

The current condition of the hiker is not known.
