Satellite Healthcare Vallejo Hosting Open House This Thursday

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- If you or a loved one receive dialysis or may do so in the future, a local healthcare facility is hosting an event soon that you may want to attend.

Satellite Healthcare, a not-for-profit providers of kidney dialysis and related services, says it will hold an open house at its Vallejo center for physicians, patients and caregivers to meet the center’s medical director, Dr. Brigitte Schiller, and learn about two offerings:

• LOL Hemodialysis— A new therapy that involves laughter during hemodialysis. The LOL— HD program brings together elements of laughter, activity, meditations and deep breathing exercises that stimulate better mood and decreases anxiety.
• Optimal Transitions—A first-of-its-kind program that provides dialysis patients and their families the time, support and resources needed to select the right dialysis therapy for them. Through consistent communication and a respectful environment, Optimal Transitions team members aim to empower patients to manage their health by listening, education and offering choices.

Light refreshments will be served.
