Solano County Man Arrested for Attempted Sex With Minor
Dennis Sholler, 69, of Vallejo, was arrested when he allegedly tried to meet a 14-year-old in order to have sex with her.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A Solano County man has been arrested in San Francisco after he allegedly attempted to meet a 14-year-old in order to have sex with her, according to police.
Dennis Sholler, 69, of Vallejo, was arrested Jan. 17 in San Francisco when he tried to meet with the teen at an undisclosed location in San Francisco, police said.
San Francisco police's Internet Crimes Against Children unit began investigating Sholler earlier this month after they learned he was attempting to have sexual contact with the 14-year-old girl through social media.

Investigators discovered Sholler had been convicted in 1984 in Texas for fondling a minor, according to police.
Sholler has been charged by the District Attorney's office with sending harmful material to a minor, arranging to meet with a minor for sexual contact and going to an arranged meeting with a minor for sexual
contact, police said.

Sholler remains in custody with bail set at $50,000. He's set to appear in court next for a hearing on Feb. 6, according to jail records.
