Solano County Man ID'd In Fatal Napa Valley Crash

NORTH SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA — The Napa County Sheriff's Office has identified Gilberto Hernandez Ortega, 32, of Vallejo, as the victim of a fatal solo vehicle crash last Wednesday afternoon.

Ortega was driving a 2008 Chevrolet south on State Highway 221 south of Napa Valley Corporate Way around 4:20 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and it struck a utility pole off the west edge of the road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Vallejo man who was sitting in the right front seat of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries.
