SUV Rolls Off I-680 Near Benicia, One Person Flown to Trauma Center

A vehicle rolled on northbound I-680 just sounth of Gold Hill Road Wednesday, according to the Fairfield Fire Department. 

The initial responders were Benicia Police, but the scene was ultimately taken over by California Highway Patrol. A person was unconscious and trapped in vehicle, local photographer James Collins told Patch. 

The Fairfield Fire Department responded to the scene and extricated one patient from an SUV.

"The patient was flown to a local trauma center with life [threatening] injuries," according to the department. "No other cars or victims were innvoled."
