Vallejo to Conduct Special Super Bowl Sunday DUI Patrol
Police and members of the state Office of Traffic Safety are teaming up for the "Fans Don't Let Fans Drive Drunk" campaign.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Police will conduct a special patrol in Vallejo during the Super Bowl game on Sun., Feb. 5 in an effort to prevent drinking and driving, police said.
Police and members of the state Office of Traffic Safety are teaming up for the "Fans Don't Let Fans Drive Drunk" campaign, which aims to prevent impaired driving among Super Bowl revelers.
As part of the campaign's law enforcement efforts, police, sheriff and California Highway Patrol officers will be on heightened alert before, during and after the game. Additional police officers will be deployed on
special DUI patrols, looking to stop and arrest drivers showing signs of alcohol or drug impairment, police said.

A driver is legally alcohol-impaired when their blood alcohol concentration is .08 or higher.
The areas of the city that will receive special attention from law enforcement are not being announced ahead of time by police.
