Vallejo Man Charged In Fatal Shooting
Vallejo police said Daniel Juarez, 40, has been charged with murder. He is currently behind bars at the Solano County jail.

VALLEJO, CA — A Vallejo man has been charged in connection with a fatal, late-night shooting that occurred over the weekend. Vallejo police said Daniel Juarez (Flores), 40, has been charged with murder and is behind bars at the Solano County jail.
On Sunday around 11:40 p.m., Vallejo police responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of Solano Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers said they found an unresponsive 46-year-old man from Vallejo in a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
According to police, preliminary reports indicate that the victim and Juarez were both sitting in a parked vehicle outside of a business when Juarez shot the victim.

Police said Juarez was still at the scene of the incident when officers arrived. A weapon was recovered close to the scene of the incident.
This is Vallejo’s 8th homicide of 2021.
Police said the victim's identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification by the Solano County Coroner's Office.
