Vallejo Man Pleads Guilty To Sexual Exploitation Of Child
John Remlinger, 43, contacted a minor over the internet in the summer of 2021, prosecutors said.
VALLEJO, CA — A Vallejo man pleaded guilty on Friday to the sexual exploitation of a child, Acting US Attorney Michele Beckwith announced.
John Remlinger, 43, contacted a minor over the internet in the summer of 2021, prosecutors said. Remlinger used the app Wink, which is for minors to meet and befriend other minors. But Remlinger lied and told a 13-year-old girl he was 17.
Their conversation eventually moved to Snapchat, prosecutors said. Over Snapchat, Remlinger "repeatedly demanded" that the girl provide sexually explicit videos and images and told her how to pose, prosecutors said. The girl complied and sent him images and videos of herself. Remlinger also recorded a live video call with the girl that was sexually suggestive.
